💛 Learning Beyond the Screen

Some of the very best learning happens away from a screen!

You don't need special equipment or expensive resources to support your child's learning. Everyday activities can provide wonderful opportunities to explore, discover and practise new skills.

Why not try counting the stairs, spotting numbers on doors, playing a board game, singing nursery rhymes or sharing a favourite bedtime story?

Remember, the most important thing is to have fun, talk together and celebrate every little achievement!

In Reception, we love learning through play, and there are lots of fun ways to continue exploring and discovering at home!

We've put together a selection of interactive games to help children practise some of the early reading, phonics and maths skills we learn in school. These games are a lovely opportunity to spend time together, build confidence and celebrate new achievements.

Remember, learning doesn't always need a screen! Sharing stories, playing board games, counting everyday objects and singing nursery rhymes are just as valuable.
