Early Years Foundation Stage
Welcome to Our Early Years Foundation Stage
Where little minds grow, curiosity blossoms and learning begins through play!
At our school, we believe that the Early Years are a truly special time in a child's learning journey. Our Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) provides a happy, safe and nurturing environment where every child feels valued, confident and excited to learn.
We believe that children learn best through play. Play is at the heart of everything we do, giving children the opportunity to explore, investigate, imagine, create and make sense of the world around them. Through meaningful play experiences, children develop independence, build friendships, solve problems and grow in confidence.
Our carefully planned curriculum follows the Early Years Foundation Stage statutory framework and is designed to spark curiosity, inspire a love of learning and build strong foundations for the future. We combine exciting, hands-on experiences with purposeful adult-led teaching, ensuring that children develop the knowledge and skills they need while having plenty of opportunities to follow their own interests and ideas.
Our indoor and outdoor learning environments are thoughtfully organised to encourage exploration, creativity and independence. We recognise the importance of giving children time to become deeply involved in their play, develop their ideas and challenge themselves as learners. Our adults play a vital role in supporting this journey, joining children in their discoveries, modelling language, asking thoughtful questions and extending learning through meaningful interactions.
We understand that every child is unique and develops at their own pace. By building positive relationships with children and their families, we aim to create a strong sense of belonging where everyone feels happy, supported and ready to flourish.
Above all, we want our children to love coming to school, feel proud of who they are and develop a lifelong love of learning. In Early Years, play isn't just play – it's how we learn, grow and discover!
