SEND Information Report
What is SEND?
SEND stands for Special Educational Needs and Disabilities. According to the Code of Practice (January 2015), a child has SEND if:
- they have a learning difficulty or disability that means that he or she has significantly greater difficulty in learning than the majority of the other children of the same age or
- they have a disability which significantly prevents or hinders him or her from making use of the educational facilities of a kind generally provided for others of the same age in mainstream schools or mainstream post 16 institutions.
The tab of the right has some questions and answers that may help you understand how we, at Featherstone Primary School, make provision for children with SEND.
